African Guaranty Trust (AGT) Microfinance Ltd started as small business in a vehicle (not in a garage) in 2005. Gradually, the business began to grow and by 2008, AGT Financial Services was registered with the Registrar Generalâ€™s Department to provide general financial and investment services in Ghana. In November 2010, the first branch (Spintex Road) was opened. AGT Microfinance currently has Seven (7) branches and then as at September 2012, total asset base of Four Million Two Hundred and Twelve Thousand Seven Hundred and Three Ghana cedis Twenty-eight pesewas (GHc4,212,703.28) and stated capital equity of Four Hundred and Fifty-one Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty Ghana Cedis sixty-one pesewas (GHc451,780.61)
