1 . DST/TCP Technical Sales Manager

Overall Purpose of the Job
To deliver technical and market expertise in the designated Product Line within the Region, whilst executing the introduction of new markets and business within the region to increase our revenue and profitability.

Principal Accountabilities

·        Provide the region with central support for their operations, and ensure they have all the assistance they need to provide quality service

·        Ensure that global equipment stock is managed, and key supply chain agreements are in place/monitored

·        Develop strategy plans for business growth opportunities

·        Ensure that Sales and Marketing groups have all the Technical information and assistance they need for sales efforts and marketing material

·        Identify new product requirements, and technically manage through development programs

·        Review region operations ability levels, identify gaps, and ensure relevant training is available for region personnel

·        Assist with product line representation at trade events, shows and industry fora including API committee

·        Assist Business Development with major tender support and Applications Engineering support

·        Ensure all Safety procedures and Training material is in place such that operations are performed in a safe manner

·        Provide input to the Business Development annual budget

·        Ensure compliance with legislation in all operating locations and also with the Companys Code of Conduct.

·        Be the focal point for communications with central Product Line / and new business, communicate and promote relevant information to and from the Region Operations.

·        To establish/maintain an effective client account network for the purpose of delivering business growth.

  • To provide commercial analysis/innovation to support business growth.

 

Job Context and Main Activities
Job is an integral member of the Drill Stem Test/Business Development team. To advance the product line within the Region by working with the other members of the Senior Management team effectively. Directly bringing value through communication of Group plans and strategies, taking direct responsibility for the implementation plans for new services or products within the Region, and providing a product line view across all Region geographies to benefit the business.
Activities include face to face meetings with Area/ Country Managers, Business Development Manager, and clients. The role supports Business Development via technical input, advice on pricing/costs for new services and feedback on global product line performance / returns, etc.
Monthly travel across the Region location is required.

Decision making Authority/Level of Supervision Required
Minimal supervision required once high level direction agreed with Business Development Manager & Drill Stem Test Director and Minimum supervision subject to agreement on strategy and appropriate Group approval processes.

Job Challenges
Growing the business in line with 5 year plans. Communicating effectively and directly with the Region Management and the central teams to advance the interest of the Product Line within the Region

Job Knowledge and Qualifications
