GAPCO (Sudan) ltd has invested primarily in creating assets worth 40 million dollars in the form of 15 oil storage depots, 62 petrol retail stations, and 3 LPG cylinder filling plants. Our main storage depots at Elgaily and Shajarah are connected to Elgaily refinery by product pipe lines and its Port Sudan is connected to Port Sudan oil import Jetty and Sudan Petroleum Corporation’s strategic tankage by product pipe lines. The company is playing an important role in development & growth of petroleum industry in Sudan. While GAPCO (Sudan) Ltd is very well reputed for running its business professionally and profitably, it is undergoing major up gradation and expansion of its facilities in petroleum retailing and storage. While all its 62 petrol stations, 3 major depots and LPG cylinder filling plants are being upgraded to international standards, it is commissioning 4 additional LPG cylinder filling facilities at El Obeid, Gadarif, Niyala and Kosti where domestic LPG is required in fast developing rural areas. With the aid of cutting–edge technologies and modern infrastructure, GAPCO(Sudan) ltd is aiming to consolidate its position as the market leader in petroleum marketing in the country. In its endeavor to carry out its expansion program and upgrade the existing facilities to international standards, the company has already spent USD 3.25 million and has engaged a leading international company to carry out the up gradation and face lifting of its petrol retail stations and petroleum depots. In remaining 2013 and 2014, the company is investing additional USD 8 million towards putting up 10 new petrol retail stations, for upgrading and face lifting remaining upcountry petrol stations and depots, for installing 4 more LPG cylinder filling Plants, for buying 6 LPG bulk tankers for moving LPG to its upcountry cylinder filling plants and for buying 5 LPG bulk dispenser trucks.
