The Regional Sales Manager - SSA is responsible for leading and strategically growing sales for the Subsea Systems SSA Region as well as customers making global buying decisions within the region, with a focus on increasing share of wallet, margin contribution, pricing, and driving process effectiveness.

• Lead a Regional Sales Team for growing the regional relationships and implementing win-win strategies
• Identify, promote and exploit product and market development opportunities
• Develop influential relationships with assigned customers at all levels and develop strategies to win profitable
business from those customers
• Develop customer strategies, campaign plans, and leadership in their execution
• Integrate information (eFAST), resources, and activities within the region and/ or among global regions
• Specify critical resource needs required to meet business objectives

2 . Commercial Manager 4

The Commercial Manager is the leader of a team made of technical, legal and financial functions, assembled to build proposals and successfully close contract negotiations for the sales of GE Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines and Power Plants; Power Generation Products

The Commercial Manager works in alignment with region imperatives following lean processes, and pair with Sales & Technical Manager to achieve the order & margin goals of the region, with compliance in mind.

• Build the commercial and contractual proposal which includes elaboration of comments to terms and conditions, based on client RFQ.
• Synchronize technical terms with commercial terms, leverage on Technical Manager and CAE team to ensure best guarantees and relevant technical features increasing GE proposal value to client are included, to position GE to win.
• Present the summary of the offer to the Win-Table (Risk Review committee) to bid to the customer
• Participate to proposal and region strategy and focus his attention on execution of the order plan.
• Present the offer to the customer.
• Take ownership for negotiating the commercial and technical terms in close coordination with Sales, technical manager and CAE team.
• Manage the release of signed contracts to the Project Management and Parts & Maintenance teams.
• Business trips in Middle East region is foreseen
• Participates to ITO simplification, Customer alignment and other Fast works initiatives.
• Supports achievement of commercial team metrics related to orders and margins for PGP.

The Commercial Leadership Program (CLP) at GE Power & Water develops sales and commercial leaders through challenging rotational assignments and a rigorous training curriculum. CLP prepares its members for off-program placement in challenging commercial roles by providing the opportunity to learn about GE Power & Water’s products and customers, while also making significant contributions to the business.

Program Summary
• A two-year program providing on the job experience with four six-month rotations within the commercial functions of GE Power & Water
• Exposure to a number of Energy businesses, products, and leaders
• World-class training in sales, leadership, and business skills. Program participants strengthen their commercial, business, and leadership skills by completing an intensive curriculum of classroom, hands-on, and online training

Program Content:

Throughout the two years duration of the program, the assignments will vary depending on business requirements and the off-program role objectives. However, the CLP can expect the following responsibilities at one point or another of the program:

• Development of competitive proposals and strategies, including risk mitigation and compliance, to support the Sales team in the region
• Understand local market dynamics
• Identification and management of commercial risks across the project scope
• Responsible for contract management, proposal development, risk and mitigation management
• Personal world-class training – online, hands-on, and in the Classroom


* Engineering degree or equivalent, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, Power Systems, Systems or Industrial Engineering
* Internship, co-op, or full-time work experience in sales and/or the power generation business
* 0-2 years of work experience post graduation
* Academic excellence. CGPA of 3.0/4.0 or 3.75/5.0
* Demonstrated sales/people skills and/or aptitude.
* Demonstrated interest in sales and the energy industry
* The candidate must possess solid communication skills (both written and verbal).
* Geographic mobility - Relevant work permit or work authorization required
* Demonstrated computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
* The candidate must be willing to work independently (after proper training) and be a self-starter
* Must have unrestricted work authorization in Ghana
