The IBM Storage Sales Specialist is responsible for developing Storage Brand/Product solutions that address client's business needs (both industry and business) and delivers client value while supporting Storage brand specific business strategies.

Maintains strong relationships with executives and influencers in the IT and Line of Business organizations in these accounts. Thoroughly understands the client's business, including their organization, financials, competitiveness in the market, and business issues. Creates solutions which are tailored to client's business needs and integrates the brand capabilities and competitiveness in a way that is valued by the customer and superior to the competition. Thoroughly understands and applies IBM strategies and offerings for the Storage brand.

Maintains an understanding of the client's industry and how the client's business fits within it. Understands IBM Storage brand/product capabilities in order to develop winning solutions that deliver client value propositions, are tailored to the client's specific business needs, and are superior to the competition. 2 . Operations Buyer - Ghana

The purpose of the Procurement Operations Buyer role is to create purchase orders from approved purchase requisitions to required quality standards while meeting performance metrics in terms of turn around times. Procurement operations buyers are also responsible for the timely resolution of ‘blocked’ invoice issues and other country specific transactional duties.

Main Responsibility Areas

• Raise purchase orders to required quality in a timely manner to achieve turn around time targets
• Ensure orders are raised without assistance of country procurement where possible by proactively driving the creation and maintenance of ‘sourcing plan’ documents.
• Liaise with requestors to drive spend through preferred suppliers
• Liaise with suppliers to collect quotation and other documentation where required.
• Handling blocked invoices in line with corporate targets and amend purchase orders if necessary
• Communicate with team lead and requestors to resolve out of line situations
• Assist related teams within the Operations centre in resolution of queries. Including business controls and the Procurement Contact Centre.
• Perform tactical activities (e.g. Contract management etc.) if required

As the Power sales specialist, you will be representing the most successful server offerings from one the most admired brands to a set of highly professional customers.

The successful candidate will be accountable for sales achievements and customer satisfaction in candidate's customer segment. This will include territory management and professionally adhering to IBM sales and business processes.
The role will also require consistent pipeline growth of new opportunities and will require business development skills as well as a strong understanding of how Power deals are transacted through channel partners to end customers.

Other duties will include account planning, call planning leadership and working pro-actively with the business units of IBM locally as well as internationally.
The job consists of a large variety of tasks which include:

• Constantly planning and carrying out “face to face” sales meetings with customers and business partners.
• Regularly planning and executing the sales strategies and objectives for the territory / business unit.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical sales knowledge in the specialty offerings, along with financial selling skills.
• Maintain knowledge of competitor's offerings, strategies, and plans. Effectively articulate IBM strengths from competitive alternatives and create customer preference for IBM offerings, based on these differentiators
• Effectively negotiate with multiple levels management within the assigned customer set resulting in the successful closing of transactions
